Evelyn Perry

Evelyn "Erbie" Perry of Florida Street, Connelly died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 88. She was born in Kingston, a daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Mauro Gilyardi. She married Dominic Perry on June 23, 1941. A seamstress, Mrs. Perry worked for many years for the I.L.G.W.U., Local #259. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church. Her husband Dominic died January 16, 2008; three brothers John, Michael and Paul Gilyardi and two sisters Josephine Schermerhorn and Caroline Snyder all died previously. Surviving are her son Tyrone Perry and his wife Patricia Crane Perry of Fairfield Glade, TN, three brothers Louis Gilyardi of Webster, Ernest Gilyardi of Kingston and Anthony Gagliardo of Highland Falls; three grandchildren Kim Stedman, Erin Wigman-Nilssen and Tina Perry, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandson; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. The funeral procession will form on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
