Evelyn "Bunny" Jubie of Manor Place, Kingston died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at her home. She turned 89 on Wednesday.
A native and lifelong Kingston resident, she was born in Ponckhockie June 24, 1920 a daughter of the late Edward and Martha L. Mickle Longto.
For 10 years Evelyn worked at Hercules, Port Ewen as an assembler.
A parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, she was active in the former St. Joseph's Senior Citizens. Evelyn belonged to the Wiltwyck Gardens Senior Citizens and the V.F.W. 20/20 Club. An avid Bingo player, she also enjoy pinochle.
Her husband Charles M. "Chick" Jubie died August 8, 1987. An infant son Charles died in 1949 and her son Charles P. died August 4, 1956. Two sisters Mildred J. Herwig and Lillian M. McBride both died previously.
Surviving are two daughters Maria Drag and her husband Robert of South Windsor, CT, and Paula Jubie of Kingston; two granddaughters Laura and Andrea Drag; many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm. A funeral procession will form 9:15 am on Thursday at the funeral home and process to St. Joseph's Church for a 10:00 am funeral Mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
