Evangeline B. Smith

Evangeline (Spears) Smith, 86, formerly of Ulster Park, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine. She was born July 27, 1930 in New York City to the late Jacobus and Birgitte (Pedersen) Spears.

Evangeline worked for many years at NBR Diamond Tool in LaGrange, NY. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting, and her craft groups. She was a former member of the Ti Yogi Bowman Archery Club in Hyde Park, where she had won several competitions.

She is survived by her children, Jacqueline (Fred) Haalck of Ulster Park, Nadine (Louis) Persico of Clermont, FL, Michael (Alice) Fabia of North Harwich, Cape Cod, Guy Fabia and his partner Leona of Spokan, Washington, Jayne (Robert) Lamprecht of South Carolina, Christopher Fabia of Mountain Dale, NY, as well as several step children and grandchildren from her second marriage. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two sisters, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Evangeline is predeceased by her son, Robert C. Fabia, her grandson, Bradley Fabia, her husbands Robert M. Fabia, and Ralph Smith as well as three brothers and one sister.
