Eugene DeCamillis

Eugene DeCamillis, 81, of Kingston, NY, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine, NY. He was born December 8, 1940 in Bayonne, NJ son of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth DeCamillis.  

Eugene served in the US Navy from 1962 to 1964. He worked for the Kingston City School District for 35 years as a History and Economics teacher, retiring from Kingston High School. He received his doctorate degree from the University of Columbia and was an avid Civil War historian.

Eugene is survived by his wife Carmela DeCamillis of Kingston, his daughter Karen DeCamillis of Kingston, and his grandson, Justin DeCamillis who is currently serving in Ukraine as a volunteer soldier.
