Ethel M. Fergusson

Ethel M. Fergusson, 81, of Kingston, NY, passed peacefully Sunday morning, October 9th, 2016 at her residence, with her family by her side.


She was a graduate of Kingston High School, and for many years worked as a Nurse's Aide at Hutton Nursing Home. She then worked for Kingston City Schools Consolidated as a bus monitor prior to her retirement.


She was a faithful member of New Central Baptist Church, she served on the trustee board, usher board, Pastor's aide committee, and was the Sunday school secretary. She enjoyed reading, traveling, walking and had been a member of Planet Fitness.


Mrs. Fergusson was a literacy volunteer, and started the church breakfast club that met every Friday. She was a tireless worker, always willing to give of herself.


Ethel was born August 10, 1935 in Maryland and was the daughter of the late Martina Jones.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Wosley Fergusson, they wed on July 31, 1999. Her daughters Jodi Jackson and her husband Mark of Kingston and Natalie Armstrong of Kingston. Her grandchildren Mark A. Jackson, Jr., Shane L. Jackson, Hector Pabon and Brittany Pabon, 8 great grandchildren. Her step children Dreana Marshall-Stuart and her husband Hayden Marshall, Toni Fergusson, Donna Fergusson, and Dawn Fergusson as well as a host of nieces and nieces and nephews and a God sister Helen Ennist.


The Going Home Service will be at the New Central Baptist Church on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 12:30pm.


The family will receive their friends at 10-12pm on Friday, October 14, 2016.
