Erma Nardi Sangaline, of Brigham St., East Kingston died Sunday, November 12, 2006 in the home she was born in. She was 96.
A life-long East Kingston resident, she was born March 12, 1910 in East Kingston, a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rose DeCicco Nardi.
For many years, she was an operator for area garment factories in Kingston and East Kingston. She was a parishoner of St. Colman Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She belonged to the International Ladies Garment Union and the East Kingston Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband, Edward M. Sangaline died January 6, 1977.
Surviving are three sons, Edward and his wife, Doreen of Stone Ridge, Charles of Springfield, VA and Joseph and his wife, Lynne of Ulster Park, and a daughter, Erma Moore and her husband, Conrad of Hurley.
Nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildrena and many nieces and nephews and her caregiver, Nancy also survive.
Nine sisters, Mary Berardi, Theresa Tiano, Josephine Guido, Angeline Berardi, Rose Garofalo, Lucinda Tiano, Lena Reilly, Julia Amato, Anna Amato and three brothers, Frank, Ralph and Louis Nardi all died previously.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Monday from 2 - 7 pm. A funeral procession will form on Tuesday at 9:00 am at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Colman's Church at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
