Eric J. Roosa

Eric J. Roosa, 25, of DuBoise Lane, Rifton, was recovered Monday, April 19, 2004 in the Town of Esopus (Ulster County) following a boating accident on March 20, 2004. He was born in Kingston, NY on June 4, 1978, a son of Anne Aprea Roosa of Athens and Gary Roosa of the state of Florida. Eric enjoyed mountain climbing, hiking, canoeing and poetry. He was presently self employed as a tree cutter in both Ulster and Greene counties. Surviving are his parents Anne Roosa of Athens and Gary Roosa of the state of Florida; one brother Daniel Roosa of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters Diane Roosa of Rosendale, Christine Roosa of Kingston and Maria Roosa of Athens, two nieces, several cousins, aunts and uncles. Reposing at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Friday 2-4 and 7-9. Friends and family will meet at the church on Saturday morning. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 at St. Joseph’s Novitiate, Heart's Content Road, Round Top, NY 12473. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
