Emma M. Nalepa, 98, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Friday, October 10, 2014 at her home.
Born in East Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Mary A. Nardi Berardi.
Emma was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking, canning vegetables, growing flowers, making Italian Cookies and watching Dancing with the Stars. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but she especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.
Emma is survived by her three children, Anne Nalepa, Joseph Nalepa, Jr. and his wife Linda, Frances Rossi and her husband Keith, four grandchildren, Jason & Hilary Nalepa, Keith and Kevin Rossi. One sister, Adline Finkle, one brother, John Berardi and many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Emma was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Nalepa, who passed in 2005, her daughter, Catherine Nalepa, six siblings, Charles Berardi, Theresa Berinato, Joseph Berardi, Amelio Berardi, Vincent Berardi and Louis Berardi.
Emma will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 2-6 PM. The Rosary Society of Immaculate Conception Church will conduct their service at 4:00 PM.
The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Monday at 9:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church.
Interment will follow in MT Calvary Cemetery.
