Emily I. Marchetti

Hurley - Emily I. Marchetti of Hilltop Dr. died Friday, November 13, 2015 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 88. She was born in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Sirico Viano. A housewife, Mrs. Marchetti was a member of the Little Garden Club of Kingston, the Hurley Heritage Society and St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed cooking and floral design and arranging. Her husband, Anteo Marchetti died December 13, 1990. Surviving is her daughter, Gioia Sawchuk and her husband John of Parkville, MD; her son Michael Marchetti and his wife Doreen of Montvale, NJ and her brother, Joseph Viano of Kingston. Four grandchildren, Paul and Andrew Sawchuk and Christopher and Anthony Marchetti also survive. Two brothers, William and Fortunato Viano died previously. Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Sunday from 2 - 5 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at St. Joseph's Church at 11:30 AM.
