Elizabeth "Lil" Van Kleeck of Amsterdam Ave. died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 81.
She was born January 5, 1928 in Chester, PA the daughter of the late Phillip and Caroline Glawalki Glessner. Her step-father, Kenneth Jazenski also died previously.
A housewife, during WW II, she was employed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. She enjoyed crosswords, reading, archery, bowling and traveling.
Her husband, Robert A. Van Kleeck died July 28, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra L. LeBoeuf and her husband, Gibson of Fairfax Station, VA and Patricia A. Cahill of Huntly, VA and a son, Robert A. Van Kleeck and his wife, Helene of Kingston. Four grandchildren, Tiffany Cox, Damon and Bryan Vailati and Jordan Van Kleeck and three great-grandchildren, Marcus Van Kleeck and Chelsey and Cameron Cox. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Two brothers, Walter Glessner and Phillip Glessner Jr. and her son-in-law, Gregory Cahill died previously.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at which time funeral services will be conducted. Interment will follow in High Falls Cemetery.
