Elizabeth L. Warnecke, 88, of Glenford, died Saturday, June 8, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late John & Lillian Clearwater Balogh. Elizabeth was a graduate of Kingston High School and the Benedictine School of Nursing, Class of 1947. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Benedictine Hospital for 30 years retiring in 1979.
Elizabeth was a member of the Reservoir United Methodist Church, she was an avid gardener, loved nature, was a seamstress as well as enjoyed knitting and crocheting but most of all being the typical "Norman Rockwell Mom". She loved spending time and taking care of her family.
Left to mourn her loss are her four children, William E. Warnecke and his wife Joan of Sampsonville, NY, Nancy E. Kenney and her husband Maurice E. Jackman of SC, Patricia H. Remler and her husband Peter of Bearsville and Donna M. Grehl of Sturbridge, MA, two brothers, Steven Balogh and his wife Bernice of Kingston and Jack Balogh and his wife Sandy of Stone Ridge. Four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews also survive.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. A graveside will follow at 12:30pm in Montrepose Cemetery.
