Elizabeth ''Bette'' H Post, 86, a lifelong resident of Saugerties, passed peacefully Monday morning, September 12, 2016 at Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus, Kingston. She was born October 25, 1929 in New Baltimore, NY the daughter of the late Bronk Hannay and Marie Meyer Hannay

She was the wife of the Esmond " Ez" Post, who died on November 25, 2014.

Bette was a graduate of Saugerties High School and had been self employed in various businesses. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, needle point, tole painting, had a great sense of humor, loved to garden and went to the fitness center just about every day, enjoying yoga and aerobics classes. In her youth, Bette was an accomplished pianist and had a life-long love of classical and contemporary music. She was the true North for her family, and a willing and engaging friend to those lucky enough to have known her. Never one to waste anything, she has donated her body to Albany Medical College.

Bette is survived by her son Donald Bell and his wife Cynthia, of Ruby NY, her sister Irene Squeo,
three step-sons, Esmond Post (Barbara), Terry Post (Leni), and Randy Post, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews

She was predeceasd by her daughters Debra Lynn Reinhardt and Diane Leigh Koenig and a brother Eugene Hannay,

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. The family will receive their friends on Thursday from 4 - 7 pm, with the service at 7 pm.
