Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Bailey Hotaling, 84, of Deer Run, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 18, 1926 in Kingston, to the late Charles F. and Theresa Killian Bailey.
She was the wife of the late Leslie H. Hotaling, Les died on September 15, 2002.
Betty was a graduate of St. Mary's School and Kingston High School; she was a parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church. She had been employed by Hercules of Port Ewen for several years. Had been a switchboard operator at the Ulster County Office building and had worked for Hudson Valley Blood Service. Betty was a talented seamstress, loved to garden, read and travel. For many years she had taken care of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was the beloved mother of Colleen Hotaling Dunham and her husband Newcomb, of Deer Run, with whom she resided. Loving grandmother of Matt, Catie and Eric Dunham, all at home. Many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews also survive.
She was the sister of the late Harry F. and Frank J. Bailey and Mary E. Arold
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 2- 4 & 7 - 9. The procession will form on Monday at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church where at 10:00 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Father Edmund Burke, celebrant. Burial in Wiltwyck Cemetery
