Elizabeth Agatha Larkin

Elizabeth ''Skip'' Agatha Larkin, 90, of Clay Road, Ulster Park, died Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Kingston Hospital. She was born April 8, 1920 in Walton, NY to the late Lowell A. and Frances K. (Hawley) Signor.




Mrs. Larkin had worked for Cabrini Home, Art Craft Camera, Hercules; she drove bus for Chappie's Bus Company, Acker Bus Company and had run the Port Ewen Sub Shop.




Mrs. Larkin a member of Town of Esopus United Methodist Church, Den Mother of Troop 26 Boy Scouts of America; Den Mother Pack 26, Port Ewen; member of American Legion Post # 1298, Ladies Auxiliary Port Ewen; American Legion Post # 1219 Ladies Auxiliary, Tillson; she was a active volunteer doing community service with the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Cerebral Palsy, United Way, Mother's March and at several area nursing homes, at Christmas she was Santa, was very active with the Robert Graves School PTA and she received the Special Merit Award for Outstanding Service from Rip Van Winkle Council, BSA.




Elizabeth is survived by her children Michael G. Larkin and his wife Mary Suitter - Larkin, Accord, NY, Alan A. Larkin and his wife Pam, May Park, Judy A. Lenz and her husband John, Tillson, NY, Cathy F. Playford, Port St. Lucie, FL, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, 2 nieces and a nephew, she was the mother in law of the late Donald Playford, sister of the late Lowell A. Signor and Charles Signor. .




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, at the request of Mrs. Larkin, her body was gifted to Albany Medical College Anatomical Gift Program, per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or service.




The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Town of Esopus Volunteer Ambulance Squad, P.O. Box 910, Port Ewen, NY 12466. Light a candle in memory of "Skip" at www.KeyserFuneralService.com .
