Elizabeth A. Guido

Elizabeth "Betty" Guido of Hilton Place, Kingston died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at her home. She was 71. A native and lifelong Kingston resident, she was born September 14, 1938, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Prendergast Klonowski. She married Joseph J. Guido on June 11, 1977. A Kingston High School graduate, for 35 years she then worked at Metropolitan Life. She retired in 1997 as a supervisor. One brother Frank Klonowski and one sister Marysue Havens both died previously. Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Joseph J. Guido; one daughter Michelle "Rennie" Felton and her husband George of Ruby; two stepsons Joseph J. Guido Jr. and his wife Andree of Esopus and David Guido and his wife Chiharu of Kingston; two brothers Joseph Klonowski of Kingston and Dennis Klonowski of San Clemente, CA; one sister Ceil Gonzalez of Philadelphia, PA; six granddaughters Jessica and Ashley Felton, Renee, Brittany and Amber Guido, and Ayaka Guido; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rather than contributions, Betty's wishes were to find a special way to celebrate her life.
