Eleanor Rose Werbalowsky, of Boynton Beach FL., formerly of Kingston, died this past Sunday, April 14, 2013. She was 85 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Eleanor moved to Kingston with her parents , the late Harry and Frances Lessick Rose when she was in high school and graduated from Kingston High School . She met and married Kingston native Alvin Werbalowsky in 1949 and together they owned and operated "Al's Appliance" until their retirement in 1987. Eleanor was a member of B'Nai Brith, a passionate New York Yankees fan, and a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was especially proud when her grandson, Josh Werbalowsky, and his wife, Brandi, made her a great grandmother with the birth of their daughter Hannah Rose Werbalowsky last month.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Rose Pearson, and her brother, Joseph Rose. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Alvin Werbalowsky; their two sons, Mark Werbalowsky and his wife Vikki of Roswell, GA and Jay Werbalowsky and his wife Joyce of Kingston; three grandsons, Josh and his wife Brandi of Woodstock, GA, Samuel of Brooklyn, and Zachary, a student at Tulane University; and great granddaughter, Hannah Rose Werbalowsky.
She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and her remaining siblings, Carol Rose Levinson of Boynton Beach, FL and Elvin Rose of Palm Desert, CA. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Simpson-Gaus FuneralHome, 411 Albany Ave, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.

The Werbalowsky family will sit Shiva at their home on Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 - 9:30 PM, with a minyan service at 7:00 PM.
