Hurley – Eleanor H. Mc Elhearn, of Windsor Dr., Hurley died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at Kingston Hospital. She was 88.
She was born in Brooklyn on March 21, 1915, a daughter of the late James V. and Rose Faggella Fanuele. For many years Mrs. Mc Elhearn lived in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. A N.Y.U. graduate, she received a doctorate in music. She studied piano and performed throughout Europe in the early 1930’s. Mrs. Mc Elhearn taught piano in both Brooklyn and Kingston.
In 1960 she moved to this area and was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Church.
Her husband Robert J. Mc Elhearn died in 1981. One brother Auldwin F. Fanuele died in 1976.
Surviving are her sister in law Marion Fanuele of Hurley; three cousins, Elaine Demeri of Lincoln Park, NJ, Donald Nitti of Las Vegas, NV and Dr. Robert Faggella of Sacramento, CA.
Reposing at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Monday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside.
