Eleanor Fitzgerald

Eleanor Coughlin Fitzgerald, 90, passed away peacefully at Ten Broeck Commons on Sunday, October 19, 2014. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Martha Gillen Coughlin. For 37 years she was the beloved wife of Edward H. Fitzgerald, who predeceased her in 1980. Two brothers, Edward and Charles Coughlin and a sister, Mary Coughlin also predeceased her. She is survived by her two children, Mrs. Walter (Jean) Maxwell of Kingston and John (Jack) Fitzgerald of Honeoye Falls, NY, two grandchildren, Laurence C. Maxwell of Kingston and Brian Fitzgerald of Honeoye, Falls, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends will be received at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, from 3-5 PM. Funeral and Interment will be privately held in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Kingston Community Radio or the WGHQ Happy Christmas Fund, 82 John St. Kingston, NY 12401.
