Eleanor D. Clark

Eleanor "Smitty" "Midge" (Smith) Clark, 76, of Port Ewen, died suddenly on Monday, November 21, 2011. She was born January 28, 1935 in Kingston, to the late David G. Smith and the late Ruth E. Kidd.

She was married to Floyd "Harry" LaForge who passed away in 1995 and then Joseph H. Clark who passed away in 2002.

Eleanor graduated from Kingston High School Class of 1952 and then went on to the Kingston Hospital School of Nursing where she received a degree in nursing. Eleanor worked for Kingston Hospital and then for Dr. Hamilton Boyd and later Dr. Carlos Tejada before retiring.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Wiltwyck Chapter # 155 Order of Eastern Star where she served as Matron in 1979 and was a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #970.

She enjoyed the warm weather living in South Carolina and taking walks on the beach.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter; Tammy L. Sillik and her husband Jeff of Port Ewen, granddaughters, Samantha Miriello and her husband Jamie of Lake Katrine and Krista and Kelli Sillik of Port Ewen, sisters, Judy Kias of Florida and Roanne Peck of Georgia, her loving companion, Russell R. Mottsey of Kingston, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother David Smith.

Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser, Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466 where friends may call on Friday from 4 - 7 pm. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. David Brechter, officiating.

Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Drive, New Windsor, NY, 12553.
