Elaine Schedivy

Elaine C. Schedivy, 80, of West Shokan, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine. She was born May 29, 1935 in Teaneck, NJ to the late Claude and Evelyn (Gerdes) Sommer.


She was married to Milton E. Schedivy who passed away on November 21, 2011. Elaine and her husband owned and operated Olive Branch Antiques in West Shokan for many years. She enjoyed, cooking, reading, the outdoors, skiing, and, traveling. Loved painting and was an accomplished artist. Elaine was a member of the Wesleyan Community Church in Shokan.


She is the aunt of Gary & Ann Reitz of PA, the friend of, Euleen Fitzpatrick of Kingston, Betty Shaver of West Shokan, Frances Johnson of NJ, as well as many others.


Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends may visit on Monday February 8th from 4 to 6pm with the funeral service following at 6pm.
