Eileen (Fatherree) Nealis, fondly referred to as one of the "Tucker Twins", 89, of Saint Cloud, FL, formerly of Port Ewen and Kingston, NY, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at home, after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons Disease.
She was predeceased by her parents, Beatrice (Tucker) Fatherree and Duke Jesse Fatherree, of Port Ewen, NY. Her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert J. Nealis, passed away September 16, 2001.
She was a loving, devoted, sweet soul, wife and mother of 7, a parishioner of The Presentation of the BVM Roman Catholic Church in Port Ewen, an avid seamstress, and loved bingo and bowling.
Eileen is survived by her identical twin sister, Gloria Nichols, of New Jersey, and 7 children: In Saint Cloud, FL: Carol Nealis and husband Barry Rosen; James Nealis; Felicia Ashdown and husband Barry Ashdown. In New York: Kathleen Nealis and husband Gabriel Cicale of Ulster Park; Helona Nealis-Puma of Saugerties; Raymond Nealis and companion Leslie Gallagher of Kingston; Annette DeWeever of Saugerties; and many other loving family members including 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, 2 nieces and a nephew.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, where friends and family may visit on Thursday December 29th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. The procession will form on Friday at 9am at the funeral home and will proceed to Presentation RC Church, Father Kelly Drive, Port Ewen, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am.
