Edward W. Langton

May 20, 1928 — October 23, 2012

Edward W. Langton, 84, of Lake Katrine, died peacefully on October 23, 2012. He was born in Illinois on May 20, 1928 to the late John and Pauline Langton.

He graduated from Nyack High School in 1947 and received his Bachelors degree from the State University at Oneonta in 1952. Ed taught at schools in Cortland County and got his Masters Degree in Supervision from Cornell University in 1957. He retired as math and science supervisor for Kingston City Schools in June of 1989. He enjoyed his favorite past times, deer hunting and spending time with his family, who miss him greatly.

In 1951 he married his loving wife, Joan (Raffa) Langton. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Scott Langton of Santa Clara, CA, Harry Langton and his wife Mary of Saugerties, Mark Langton and his wife Rhonda of Ulster Park and J Langton of San Jose, CA, his siblings, Frank Langton of MI and Patricia Miele of Staten Island, grandchildren, Ashley, Sean, Emily and Victoria Langton, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his son, Stephen Langton and his brother John Langton.

Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where friends may call on Saturday from 2-4pm. The service will take place at 4pm.
