Edward C Cantine, 88, of Hurley, passed peacefully Thursday morning, January 25, 2018 at residence. He was born December 24, 1929 in Kingston, the son of the late James and Catherine Hasbrouck Cantine. He was the husband of the late Helen Brodhead who passed on April 1, 2002.
Mr. Cantine had worked for the Gulf Gas Station in Hurley for 20 years, he also worked for various local farms, the Hasbrouck Farm, Gill Farm and Davenport Farm. He enjoyed working on cars, lawn mower engines, was a jack of all trades, and was a skilled carpenter and brick layer.
He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and was predeceased by two brothers, John and Ike Cantine, two sisters Mabel Cantine - Jones and Sarah Cantine - Duncan and .
The service will be at the Kingston Seventh Day Adventist Church, 24 West Union Street, Kingston, on Wednesday at 6 pm. Visistation will be from 4 - 6 pm.
