Edmund ''Bud'' Zoller, 93, of Kingston, NY, died Friday May 7th, at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was born December 4, 1916 in Kingston, NY to the late Daniel F. and Margaret Ryan Zoller.
He was husband to the late Shirley Ball Zoller for 53 years until her death on October 2, 1998. A sister, Marjorie Zoller, predeceased him in 1990.
Bud was a graduate of Kingston High School before entering the United States Army in 1941. He served during World War II until his honorable discharge as Staff Sergeant in 1943.
After his service he became a Letter Carrier for the Kingston Post Office for 32 years until his retirement.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Kingston.
A Kingston native and life long resident, Bud was well known as a player, manager, and umpire in the Kingston City Baseball League and was inducted into the Kingston Baseball Hall of Fame. He was a devout fan of the New York Yankees and Notre Dame Football.
He is survived by his son Daniel E. Zoller and daughter-in-law Theresa Zoller of Hyde Park, NY, a grand daughter Lacey Zoller of New York City and numerous nieces and nephews.
Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY 12401, where the procession will form on Saturday at 10:15 am and proceed to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church where at 11:00 AM a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston.
