Edmund Lawrence Klan

June 15, 1968 — September 30, 2015

Edmund Lawrence Klan III, 47, of Kingston, NY, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at home. He was born June 15, 1968 in Manhattan, to Theresa (Salamon) Klan and the late Edmund Lawrence Klan Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Eileen (Sickler) Klan, his beloved children, Griffin and Emme, his mother, Theresa Klan of Lee, MA., his sisters, Theresa Klan Cook and her husband Alan of Lee, MA, Mary Snyder and her husband Douglas of CT, his mother-in-law, Diane M. Feldman, his nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Tyler, Hadley, Meghan, Erin, Brady, Juliana, Jacob, Carter, Olivia, and Jack, and his brothers- in-law, Craig Sickler and his wife Jennifer of Kingston and Stephen Sickler of Kingston.
Ed was a Sergeant for NYC Department of Environmental Protection in Shokan, NY. He previously worked for the NYPD and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Police Benevolent Association. He loved vacationing at Upper Saranac Lake with his family and friends. When meeting Ed, you sensed his love for storytelling, his fantastic sense of humor and his absolute love of life. He left impressionable marks on everyone he met, either through work or in his personal life. Knowing Ed, was to truly love him, nothing can capture in words how much he meant to everyone and how much everyone meant to him. His children were a miracle to him and he loved them like no other. His world always centered around them and creating memories that would bring laughter and joy.
