Edith L. Crane

Edith Lucy Crane, 92, of Kingston, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Golden Hill Health Care Center. Born in Saugerties, she was the daughter of the late Clarence & Gertrude Morgan Robinson. Edith was a 1938 graduate of Kingston High School. She worked for Barclay Knitwear and then Kingston Knitting Mills, in addition to raising her five children. She is survived by five children, Gertrude Lorraine Fitzharris of Boulder, CO, Mary Anne Wolf of Tampa, FL, Robert Julian Crane of Kingston, Barbara Jean Kracht of Tampa, FL and Patricia Ann Perry of Tennessee. 11 grandchildren, Tanya Fitzharris, Michael Shane Fitzharris, Leah Jones, Julia Kracht Aprea, William Kracht IV, Robert Steven Crane, John Eric Wolf, Heidi Annette Leavitt, Kim Elizabeth Steadman, Erin Ann Wigman and Tina Marie Provost-Heron, fourteen great grandchildren, Nicholas & Erica Wolf, Joshua and Noah Aprea, William Kracht V, Daniel Kracht, Jade, Elijah and Josiah Wigman, Sean & Zachary Steadman and Troy Provost-Heron, Joshua & Jasmine. Several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, with a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mt. Marion Cemetery.
