Edith ''Edie'' Hull Koontz, 81, of Sawkill Road, Kingston, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Benedictine Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 18, 1930 in Port Ewen, the daughter of the late Frank and Alida Terwilliger.
She was the wife of the late Richard "Ricky" Koontz; he died November 14, 2001.
She was a graduate of Kingston High School and for many years had worked at Shop Rite.
She had been an avid bowler, for many years bowling in the KWBA, and had been inducted into the Hall of Fame; she enjoyed camping, the outdoors and gardening. She loved to spend time with her family, in particular taking care of her grandchildren.
Loving mother of Robert C. Hull and his wife Debbie, Ronald F. Hull and his wife Lisa, Robyn A. Shultis and her husband Alan, sister of Floyd Terwilliger, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her dear friends Virginia McCabe and her husband William and family. She was predeceased by a son Raymond A. Hull, Jr. and a brother Frank Terwilliger
Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 7 pm, with the service will be at 7:00 pm.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Drive, New Windsor, 12553.
