Dygna M. "Maggie" Ciccosanti, 74, of Kingston, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Carlos & Altagracia Perez Ortiz.
For many years, Maggie worked as a recreational therapist at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She was also an adjunct professor at Lehman College in the Bronx. She enjoyed painting with watercolors and playing the piano, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Maggie is survived by her husband, John P. Ciccosanti of Kingston, three children, Michele Milgrim and her husband, John of Kingston, Carl Ciccosanti of Kingston, John A. "Jac" and his wife Kerry of Orting, WA, her twin sister, Myrka Alvarez of the Bronx, Lynnette Ortiz of NY, NY. Eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Maggie was predeceased by her grandson, Spencer Milgrim.
Maggie will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Thursday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Britton from Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
