Dorothy M. Lawlor

Dorothy M. Lawlor, 81, of Kingston, NY, died Friday, November 4, 2011. She was born May 26, 1930 in Kingston, NY to the late Moses Carney and Hattie (Keator) Carney.

She was married to her husband of 63 years, John J. Lawlor, they wed on December 12th 1948.

Dorothy worked for Benedictine Hospital and Thompson's Laundry in Kingston.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children; John Lawlor and his wife Donna of Stone Ridge, Vincent Lawlor and his wife Cathy of Rosendale, Hattie Jansen and her husband James of West Hurley and Richard Lawlor of Kingston, her siblings, Hilda Scheringer and Warren, Clarence, John and Bernard Carney, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and cousins.


She was predeceased by her son, Allen Lawlor, and her siblings, Catherine Nichols and Willis, George, Harold, Mosley and Henry Carney.


Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser, Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401 where friends may call on Tuesday November 8th from 10 - 11 am with the service at 11am.


Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
