Dorothy (Muller) Henry, 89, of Kingston, NY, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 30, 1927 in West Palm Beach, FL to the late Pierre Jacque Muller and Teresa (Dunst) Muller. She was married for 55 years to the late Warren O. Henry, who passed away on March 22, 2005.
Dot received her AB in English from the College of New Rochelle, her Masters in Elementary Education from SUNY New Paltz, and her Certification in Special Education from Mt. St. Mary's College. She was employed as a teacher in a one-room school house in Maple Hill for five years and then by Kingston Consolidated Schools; first at the Myer School in Hurley, then at the Emma Wygant School, and lastly at the Anna Devine School until her retirement in 1988. Dot was a parishioner of Mary's RC Church, a member of the American Association of University Women, and the Hurley Senior Citizens.
Dot is survived by her daughters, Barbara Henry of Kingston, Beth Harper and her husband Lee of Hollis, NH, and Jane Henry-Bevilacqua and her wife Dawn of Argyle, NY, grandchildren, Margaret Harper, Emily Gallagher, and David, Elizabeth, and DeAnna Bevilacqua, great grandchildren, Austin and Courtney DeSantis, Calvin and Nathan Moody, Liam and Haile Gallagher, Anthony, Nicholas, and Daniel Bevilacqua, and Lucas, Sean, and Joshua Bevilacqua-Snow. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her brother, Peter Muller.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Friday April 7th from 5pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 8th at 10am at St. Mary's RC Church, 166 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Rosendale.
