Dorothy Flanagan

Dorothy A. Flanagan, of Kingston, NY, who was employed by the Long Island Trust Bank until her retirement, died Sunday morning at her residence on Emerson St., Kingston. She was 89. Mrs. Flanagan was the executive assistant for the president of the Long Island Trust Company for more than 30 years. Mrs. Flanagan and her husband moved to Kingston from Long Island in 1992 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.

William J. Flanagan, her husband of more than 50 years, passed away on September 11, 1994. She was born October 22nd, 1920 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Albert and Alice McSorley Young. She was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Dennis Flanagan Sr. and his wife Ginny of Hanover, PA; her daughter, Joyce Ann Flanagan of Kingston, NY; her brother, Raymond Young of Fort Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren; Jennifer Greco, Christine Burgoon, Dennis Flanagan, Jr., Erin Harney - Stack, Tara and Brent Harney. Five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The service will be on Thursday at 11:00 am. Burial in Hurley Cemetery
