Dorothy B. Davis

Dorothy B. “Beany” Davis, 90, of Kingston N.Y. passed away Monday September 26, 2022 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, N.Y. She was born December 26, 1931 in Manhattan daughter of the late Emerson and Lillian (Cornberg) Parker. Dorothy was married to the late Burton C. Davis.

She was a graduate of Kingston High School and then attended business school. After graduating she worked for the brothers Drs. Lefevre as office manager. She later became a stay at home mom before returning to work as a secretary at J. Watson Bailey Middle School.

In her youth she was an extremely accomplished equestrian and passed her love of animals, nature and all seasonal outdoor activities and sports onto her children and grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Diane Davis and her grandson Devin Larson of Woodstock N.Y. Her son Burt Davis and his wife Yang-Shang of Kaiserslautern, Germany and their children Pascal Francois, Dorian Davis, Emerson Davis and Melvin Freh. She is also survived by a great granddaughter Lia and a great grandson Anakai.
