Dorothy Anne Norton

Dorothy Anne Norton, 68 of Kingston, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at her winter home in Florida. She was born September 8, 1942 in Bronx, NY to Dorothy Anne Langone D'Annunzio and the late Marcella D'Annunzio.




She was married to George B. Norton; they wed on July 29th, 1967.




Dorothy graduated Kingston High School in 1961 and then graduated from the Spencer Moran Business School in Kingston.




She was a secretary for Kingston City Schools Consolidated for many years until her retirement in 2004.




Dorothy was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Kingston. She loved playing tennis and painting.




In addition to her husband and her mother she is survived by her son Sean Norton and his wife Marci of Prospect, CT, a sister Mary Bauer of Cary, NC, a brother John D'Annunzio and his wife Paula of Kingston, NY, two grandchildren Sara Elizabeth Anne Norton & Tyler Mathew Norton of Prospect, CT., as well as many nieces and nephews.




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where the procession will form on Saturday at 9:30 am and proceed to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church where at 10:30 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.




Friends may call on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 at the funeral home.




In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's name to Hospice Foundation, Inc., Memorial Gift Program, 34 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401.
