Dorothy A. Rowe

Dorothy A. Rowe of Kingston died on Thursday, December 6, 2012. Born in Valley Falls, NY, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Waters Rowe. Because of her love for travel, Dorothy went to Washington, DC and worked at first with the Navy Dept. and then as an Administrative Secretary to a Medical Specialist. From there she went to New York City and was employed as an assistant to the president of a chemical company. She went to Europe for 4 years and held the position of Administrative Assistant to the Commander of the Air Force Base in Chateauroux, France. Upon her return to the states, she was employed by IBM until her retirement. She is survived by four sisters, Marion Koskie of Kingston, Rita Zaharchuk of Blooming Grove, Helen Olsen and Jean Vertetis, both of Kingston, one brother, William J. Rowe of Santa Maria, CA. Dorothy was predeceased by 3 brothers, Charles, Warren and Leroy Rowe and four sisters, Ethel Rowe, Ruth Nielsen and Eleanor Kelder of Kingston and Marjorie Peters of Rockville, MD. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston. A Requiem Mass will be offered on Tuesday, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Novitiate, Round Top. Interment will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
