Dorothy A. Dousharm, of Whispering Pine Way, Lake Worth, Florida died Thursday, January 22, 2004 at JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, Florida. She was 80.
She was born in Utica on December 11, 1923, a daughter of the late Earl and Margaret McCarthy Stressel.
A Kingston resident since 1951, formerly of Norma Court, Mrs. Dousharm was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Kingston. An avid bowler, golfer and Cub Scout Den Mother, she was also involved in Town of Ulster Little League.
Her husband Ernest J. Dousharm, founder of Kingston Glass Company died September 7, 1975. One son Neil Dousharm died November 29, 2002.
Surviving are one daughter Kathleen Cooper and her husband Butch Cooper of West Pam Beach, Florida, one son David Dousharm and his wife April of Hurley, a daughter in law, Diane Dousharm of Rhinebeck, eight grandchildren, Chris, Wendy, Deniele, Jeff, Steven, Roin, David and Nicole, one great grandson Samuel Neil, one sister Birdie Bramley, many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday at 12:00 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Foxhall Avenue entrance, Kingston. Family and friends will gather at the main entrance and the process in at 12:00. Deacon Richard Frohmiller will officiate.
