Dorothea M. Brown

Dorothea M. Brown, 52, of Sawkill, went home to be with the Lord on Friday January 15th, 2016 after a long battle with MS. She was born November 25, 1963 in Yonkers, NY to the late Henry and Lucille (Phaire) Bjaelker. She was a member of the AME Zion Church on Franklin Street in Kingston. Dorothea enjoyed socializing and spending time with her family.



She is survived by her children, Lawrence Brodhead III, and Jazmin Brown, her siblings, David Bjaelker, Carol L. Marshall, and Gaynell Bjaelker-Grimes, her grandchildren, Elijah, Javahn, and Le'ana Brodhead, her nieces and nephews, Ca'lita and Taisha Minor, Morayia Davis, and Marques Grimes. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sister, Daveta Bjaelker.



Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends and family may visit on Monday January 18th from 5 - 8pm.
