Rhinebeck - Dominic A. Parise, 83 of Rhinebeck, NY, formerly of Saugerties NY, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Kingston City Hospital. He was born on November 26, 1931 in East Kingston NY, the youngest son of the late Dominick and Theresa (Berardi) Parise. Dom worked at IBM in the Engineering Division as a product and software planner in both Poughkeepsie and Kingston. He retired after 34 years of service. Upon retirement, his love for gardening, lead him to become a certified Master Gardener and was employed as a coordinator at the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Kingston, NY. He played a critical role in revitalizing the Master Gardener and educational gardening programs in Ulster County. Dom loved baseball and played in the Kingston city baseball/softball leagues and coached for the Glasco/East Kingston Little League for many years. Dom also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores (Mayone) and his children Daniel Parise of Ancram, NY, David Parise of Fort Worth, Texas and Donna Parise (Gary Beirne) of Red Hook NY. He is also survived by one grandson, Jacob Parise and mom Cyndi of Middletown NY. He is predeceased by five brothers and six sisters and many nieces and nephews. The Parise Family will receive friends and family on Mon. July 6, 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm at Keyser Funeral Home, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:00 AM and process to St. Colman's Church in East Kingston, NY for a 10:00 AM funeral Mass.
