Dominga 'Mickie' Matthews of Murray Street, Kingston died Monday, January 10, 2005 at her home.
She was born in Kingston, a daughter of the late Tomas and Christina Carl Ceballos. Mickie moved to Panama as a child and was raised there for 20 years. She returned to Kingston in the mid-1950's.
She was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church and attended The Devine Mercy Adoration Chapel, Kingston.
Her husband Donald J. Matthews Sr. died November 27, 1989. One brother Thomas Ceballos Jr died previously.
Surviving are three daughters Carol Kinnin and her husband Robert of Kingston, Tracey Palladino and her husband Vincent of Kingston, Hedy Navara and her husband Louis of Port Ewen; one son Donald J. Matthews Jr. and his wife Cheri of Kingston; two brothers Frank Daly of Silver Springs, Florida and Charles Daly of Lake Katrine; four sisters Rose Ceballos of Kingston, Gregoria Wisner of Santa Clarita, CA, Lisa Monashefsky of Woodstock and Angie White of Saugerties; seven grandchildren Don, Marissa, Thomas and Brady Matthews, Stefan and Jared Kinnin and Cristopher Navara; many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 12:00 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Delaware Ave., Kingston. Fr. John Borzuchowski will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
