Dolores "Dee" Parise, 83, of Red Hook, NY, formerly of Saugerties, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. She was born January 12, 1937 in Glasco, daughter of the late John and Mary (Bounfiglio) Mayone. She was married and shared a great love with her husband of 57 years, Dominic Parise. Dominic passed away in July 2015
Dee was truly an exceptional person. A true angel on earth. She was the most kind, giving, selfless, brave and supportive person. Everyone she came in contact with immediately fell in love with her and learned so much from her wisdom and ways. Aunt Dee (as she was known to so many) always had a kind word to say, never a complaint, never a judgement and always a little package, bag, cake, gift for everyone.
She was always energetic and wanted to spread her love and joy to everyone with her big smile.
Dee worked many places over her lifetime. IBM, a teacher aide in many different schools in the Saugerties District, Krauses Candy, Beekman Arms and also spread her joy as a hostess at Mariner's Harbor Restaurant for many years, which she loved.
She is survived by her children, David Parise of Ancram, NY and Donna Parise (Gary Beirne) of Red Hook NY and her grandson, Jacob Parise of Huntington Beach, CA.
She is also survived by brothers Edward Mayone, John Jr. Mayone and sister Marietta Carpino. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son, Daniel Parise, who recently passed away in August 2020, brother Joe Mayone and sister Rose Sasso.
She will be missed by so many and surely will have a prominent seat in heaven. Her strong faith never faltered throughout her entire life.
Due to Covid-19 there will be no calling hours and a very small, private funeral mass
followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston next to her beloved husband.
In lieu of flowers and donations: do a kind deed for someone, brighten someone's day, give of yourself, spread love and joy in Dee's memory. This is how she lived everyday and would be truly grateful if her ways were carried on in all of you, especially during these trying times. A tribute for Dolores can be found at
