Dolores M. Guido of Addis Street, East Kingston died Thursday, November 27, 2003 at Kingston Hospital. She was 76.
She was born in East Kingston on October 24, 1927, a daughter of the late Peter and Lucy Conte Guido. A lifelong East Kingston resident, she was a parishioner of St. Colman’s Church.
In 1982 she began working at the Town of Ulster Police Department as a dispatcher. Past president of Ulster County Fire Police Assoc., Ms. Guido was a member of the NYS Fire Police Association and Ulster Hose #5, Ladies Auxilary.
She belonged to the East Kingston Volunteer Fire Department and the Ladies Auxilary. A member of the Town of Ulster Republican Club and the former Sons of Italy.
One daughter Rose Guido Nownes died in 1988. Four sisters Mary Iconette, Rose Noble, Theresa Ferrendino and Ann Guido and four brothers Joseph, Charles, Frank and John Guido all died previously.
Beloved mother of Joseph and David Guido ; sister of Louise Gardecki, Louis J. Guido. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Reposing at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday 7-9 and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Colman’s Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
