Diane Marie Rosado

Diane Marie Rosado, 59, of Rondout Garden Apartments died Monday, November 24, 2003 at her residence. She was born in Jersey City, NJ on February 11, 1944, a daughter of Therese Dionne Karkowski of Kingston and the late Peter A. Karkowski. Formerly of New Jersey, Mrs. Rosado lived in Chelsea, NYC from 1967 - 1970. She then moved to this area and became a nurses aide at Kingston Hospital. For 14 years she worked at Hutton Nursing Home as a nurses aide. An avid reader, she was an art major at Ulster County Community College in 1991 and 1992. Wife of the late Luis Rosado; mother of the late Lena Marie Rosado. Surviving in addition to her mother of Kingston, are three sisters Paulette Grotzky of Putnam Valley, Anne Avellaneda of Plattsburg, and Janet Karkowski of Kingston; four brothers Michael Karkowski of Rifton, Russell Karkowski of Iowa City, Iowa, Philip Karkowski of Stone Ridge and Frank Karkowski of St. Remy. Friends and family will gather on Friday from 4:00 – 5:30 at Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. A funeral service will then be conducted at 5:30 at the funeral home by Deacon Jack Peters. Private cremation will follow with inurnment in Montrepose Cemetery, with her daughter, in December.
