Dennis Shawn Thomas, son of Denise Kennedy-Thomas and the late Sandy Orris Thomas was born on January 20, 1976 in Brooklyn, New York. Dennis passed from this life on the morning of Monday, June 27, 2022.
Dennis S. Thomas attended Saugerties H.S where he obtained his H.S diploma as well as a scholarship for track and field. Dennis ran the 400 meter at Saugerties H.S. in 1995 in 49.7 tenth of a second. He also received the record for the 6’8” high jump in 1995. After graduating from H.S. he went on to further his education at Utica University. He gained many friends throughout the years and loved to play basketball as he challenged his brothers and friends on the court. Dennis was passionate about riding his bicycle, scooter and motorcycle from one destination to another. Dennis later relocated to Kingston, NY where he worked several jobs. He was a kind and compassionate person that will help anyone and if necessary, will give you the shirt off his back. It was through his compassion for others that while working for Cable Vision if any customer had any issues Dennis would often resolve their issues for free. His compassion was also extended through his employment with ARC where he worked with individuals whom had Intellectual and Developmental disabilities. Dennis was a fun-loving Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin and Friend his personality added a magnitude of happiness to any room he was present in. He enjoyed laughing, joking, and talking to his brothers and enjoying life.
Dennis S. Thomas leaves behind to Cherish his memories his loving Mother Denise Kennedy-Thomas; his brothers, Joseph Kennedy; Tyrone Thomas; Dion Thomas; Nieces, Sydney Kennedy; Aalisha Blocker; Nephews, Tyrique Thomas; Tyler Thomas; Grand Nieces and Grand Nephews, Ava Love; Dakari Love; Dequan Love and a host of family, friends and associates throughout the states.
Dennis was loved by many and he will surely be missed. He touched a lot of people’s hearts.
