Deborah Saltz of Wilkie Ave., Kingston died Monday, April 17, 2006 (19 Nisan 5766) at Benedictine Hospital. She was 69.
She was born in Israel on January 20, 1937, a daughter of the late Haim E. and Rachael Lea Friedman Gorbuleff. She married Meir Saltz on January 12, 1963.
Mrs. Saltz moved to the United States in 1970 and settled in Brooklyn for nine years. She was an arts and crafts teacher at Yeshiva Etz Chaim-Jerusalem in Brooklyn.
In July 1979 Mrs. Saltz moved to Kingston. She taught at the Jewish School in Poughkeepsie and then at Congregation Agudas Achim and Congregation Ahavath Israel, Kingston. She was a member of Congregation Agudas Achim, Kingston.
For 15 years she was the office manager for her brother in law, Dr. Eugen Mandel, Kingston.
Surviving are her husband, Meir Saltz; two sons Edan Saltz of White Plains and Barak Saltz of Kingston; one sister Sara Mandel and her husband Dr. Eugen Mandel of Israel; two nephews Shai and Ron Mandel.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:30 at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Rabbi Yitzkcok Hecht will officiate. Interment will be in the Montrepose Cemetery, Old Agudas Achim section, Kingston.
