Davis Weinstein

Davis Weinstein, 87, of Kingston, died peacefully Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his home, Ulster-Greene ARC Palmer ICF, surrounded by staff, friends and family. Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Benjamin & Helen Weinstein. Davis enjoyed McDonalds hamburgers and bottles of Coke. He was a sharp dresser who enjoyed selecting his favorite hats and ties to wear daily. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He had a special relationship with his staff and housemates from Palmer and his previous home, Linnabary, but especially Tammy Knox, Palmer ICF, RN. Davis was loved by all who knew him. Davis is survived by a brother, Mort Weinstein and his wife Trudi of NY, NY, a sister, Barbara Greenberg and her husband Herbert of Ra anana, Israel. Several nieces, nephews and his Ulster-Greene ARC family also survive. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, with Cantor Devorah Gartner of Ahavath Israel officiating. Interment was privately held in Montefiore Cemetery in Queens.
