David J. Vincent, 80, of Palenville, passed away at home on Saturday, December 30, 2023. He has now joined his beloved wife Dorothy who passed away on May 24, 2014. He missed her dearly and never got over her passing. He was born October 15, 1943 in Salem, MA to the late James and Lavina (Hill) Vincent.
He was married to his loving wife Dorothy (Page) Vincent on September 15th, 1962.
David was a Salem, MA High School Graduate in 1962. He later worked as a Rock Haul Driver for St. Lawrence Cement in Catskill for 34 years before his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed traveling to the sea shore to tour lighthouses and touring Civil War battlefields. David was a big fan of the New England Patriots and NASCAR’s #24 driver, Jeff Gordon.
David is survived by his children: Jeffrey Vincent of Syracuse; Laurie Blampied and her husband David and their son Jason of Ulster Park, Matthew Vincent of Glasco; his beloved sister, Dr. Susan Murphy of Nevada City, CA and her son Jason and his family of Pennsylvania; his wonderful sister-in-law Pauline Page of Massachusetts and her three children, daughter Michele and her partner Andy of NH, son Mark Page of MA, daughter Denise and her husband Andy and their three children of MA and his beloved cats, Marty and Ozzie. David was blessed in life with many good friends, including his lifelong friends Barry & Janis Rell of FL; Fred and Michele Edwards of Palenville; Harold and Ethel Joers of Catskill, Paul Beers of Saugerties and the greatest neighbors in the world. Thank you to Melanie and Dan, Norine, my angel from Ohio; Heather and Joe, Terry and Sue, Barbara and Chip and Paul and Courtney for all you have done for me.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY. Services and burial are private at the families’ discretion.
