David A. Tapper

David A. Tapper of Woodstock, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, New York City. He was 81. A writer, director, producer, spiritual adventurer. Grandpa, father, lover, friend. An enthusiastic star in so many firmaments - has moved on. He was born May 21, 1928 in Brooklyn a son of Edward Michael Tapper, MD and Deborah Cohen Tapper, MD. His wife, Suzette Arla Sunwall died May 3, 1983. Surviving is his daughter, Gwendolyn Tapper of Lake Hill and his son, Seth Tapper of New York City. Funeral services will be held Monday, 12:00 PM at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston. Shiva will be observed at the home of Gwendolyn Tapper on Monday following burial thru Friday afternoon. Evening services will be Mon. thru Thurs. evenings at 7:00 PM. On Sat. evening, Shiva will be observed at the home of Seth Tapper in NYC from 5:30 PM with a minyon service at 8:30 PM. Directions to Woodstock Jewish Congregation: From the New York State Thruway, Exit 19 turn Right onto NY-28 West. Continue to turn Right on Rt.375 Continue to turn Right on NY-212 and continue 3.0 mi to turn LEFT on Glasco Turnpike / CR-32, arriving at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation.
