Kingston – Cyril L. Albury Jr. of Hasbrouck Place died unexpectedly on Monday, October 23, 2006. He was 59.
Born in the Bronx on January 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Cyril L. “Chuck” and Catherine Morle Albury. Mr. Albury served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
He married Veda M. Smith on November 17, 1972. A longtime area resident, Mr. Albury was an overnight sales associate for Walmart since 2000.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 33 years are two sisters Karen E. Pillot and her husband Caesar of New York City and Lisa L. Carter and her husband Keith of Durham, NC; one brother Christopher L. Albury and his wife Linda of Austin, TX; his mother in law Essie M. Maye of Livingston, Alabama and her daughters Glenda Lightfoot and her husband David, Debbra Wiggins and her husband Alvin and Jaunita Lard and her husband Nathaniel; his goddaughter Faith Edwards, nieces and nephews Jarvis and Carmen Sturdivant, Christopher Albury Jr., Nathaniel and Joseph Lard and Mercedes Lightfoot.
There will be a viewing on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the Pointe of Praise Family Life Center, Hurley Ave., Kingston. Pastor James Childs will then officiate a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Montrepose Cemetery with military honors by the Joyce - Schirick Post 1386 Color Guard.
