Constance 'Connie' Poag of Griffin Dr., Hurley died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at her home. She was 82.
She was born in Buffalo on August 10, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph Hartman, M.D. and Monica O'Day Hartman.
Mrs. Poag received a Bachelors degree from D'Youville College, Buffalo in 1944. On May 31, 1948 she married Frederick D. Poag. They moved to Hurley in 1960.
A parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, she previously sang in the Choir. Connie also volunteered at the Hudson Valley Senior Residence.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 58 years are two daughters Kathleen Poag - Longeway and her husband John of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and Molly Poag and her husband Matthew Pearson of Irvington; one sister Bettyanne McAuliffe of Chapin, SC, four grandchildren Maureen and Grace Longeway, Graham and Harry Pearson.
One daughter Deborah Anne Poag and one niece Monica Runyan died previously.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Fuenral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Hurley Cemetery.
A memorial service will be conducted at her alma mater at a later date.
