Claudia Iris Milligan

Claudia Iris Milligan, 66, of E. Elmhurst died February 24, 2017 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY. She was born in Brooklyn, a daughter of Alfred and Elsa Maland Milligan. Claudia worked for 24 years for the US Postal Service in Queens, NY retiring from there in 2015. She was a wonderfully generous person, very connected to her church, Beit Tehillah, a community of Christian believers in Jesus located in Jamaca, Queens. During her lifetime, Claudia, along with another writer, Abraham Heller, published two books of poetry. Claudia is survived by her brother, Dr. Terence Milligan and his wife Susan of Edgewater, NJ, her sister, Mrs. Sarah (Pam) Sherman-Goodlife and her husband, David of Kingston, NY, nieces and nephews, Zviah Bittman and Jay, Jason and Amy Milligan, Dan & Rachel Ferat, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Charlize Bittman, Luna & Mars Milligan, and Ella Ferat. A graveside service in Montrepose Cemetery will be held privately.
