Clarence A. Carson

Clarence A. Carson, of Holiday Lane, Town of Ulster died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Golden Hill Health Care Facility. He was 93. A native and lifelong Kingston resident, he was born November 14, 1915, a son of the late Samuel and Lucy Krum Carson. Mr. Carson served in the US Army during WW II in the European Theater of Operations. He was a member of the Joyce Schirick Post 1386, V.F.W. He previously was a salesman for Fuller Brush Company. For 34 years he then worked for the NY Central Railroad and then Penn Central Railroad as a gate keeper and then as a brakeman. His wife Emma M. Lucci Carson died January 5, 2007. Two brothers, Edward and Stanley Carson, died previously. Surviving are two sister in laws Rose Lucci of Kingston and Jeanette Antenucci of Poughkeepsie; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00. Rev. David Brechter will officiate. Interment, with military honor by Joyce - Schirick Post 1386 V.F.W., will be in Fair View Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
